Garrett has gone to this childcare since he was one. This is Garrett's second childcare, his first childcare is Building block. I dont like that childcare much because it is too small. Noah has gone to the same childcare since he was five months.

Garrett's temperature - 104.4F experience

This is a crazy cold season; every kid gets sick at daycare. I saw almost all of them have running nose everywhere and the teacher does not clean for them. I am not sure if she is afraid they will have pain after wipe at the same spot so many times or she is just lazy.

My Garrett and Noah are the same. They have cough, running nose, fever, and ear infection. It is fun when they are healthy and hard when they are sick. Noah has not slept through the night yet, he keeps waking up at night and more often when he is sick. I know he does not feel good, so I also awake to temper him.

And Garret has been having low fever for over one week; it kept coming back and forth. I did not think he might have ear infection until today, so we took him to doctor and get antibiotic. Not sure because of ear infection or something else is going in his body, the night before he woke up few times said bunch of things that did not make senses. And especially last night, as usual my baby wakes me up because he is hungry, so I fed him. When I was going back to sleep I use my hand to check Garrett’s head. I did not feel it too bad so I tried going back to sleep. After laid down about five minutes, I feel Garrett is shaking. So I woke up to check, I thought he was cold, so I put blanket on him and hold him. But he still keep shaking I thought something is not right here. I woke my husband up and ask him look online to see if he finds any reason why Garrett likes this. He spent few minutes and said he did not find anything. After about ten minutes Garrett quits shaking. I thought he was OK then I checked his temperature. Oh my god, it was 104.4, which is the number that the doctor always tells me bring them to ER immediately. It is scary if I did not learn from few of my friends whose kid had this high fever before, and they brought him in ER. At the hospital, they just put him in cold water and gave him Motrin until fever reduces and sent them home. So I gave Garrett one and a half teaspoon Advil and put him in warm bath for about 20 minutes. That helps his temperature goes down to 99.7. What a release! So we let him out of bath and keep checking his temperature every ten minutes after that for about 1 hour to make sure it did not go back up. Then we all eventually fall to sleep, it was almost five in the morning. What a night! And thanks God my baby woke me up so I was able to check on Garrett.

Hope they feel good by the end of the week since we have planned to go to the camp this weekend.

Garrett + Noah 's first train ride

Garrett loves the train, especially Thomas. He has lot of train toys, that are from his nana or last Christmas gifts. He like to make the train horn sound "zhu zhu". It is funny.

There is "the Orange Blossom Cannonball, Central Florida’s Historic Steam Train!" in our area that my husband wants to take him to. But it costs $18/adult and Garrett is free since he is under four. I think it is too expensive for just one hour ride. So my husband takes them today. I dont want to spend $18 for me, so I just take picture for them and stay around at the park while they are going on train.

We did not tell Garrett at first, but when we went into to the ticket room to buy ticket, he knows. And he wants to hold the ticket. I said " You need to hold it carefully, if you lose it, you can not go on train.".

10-13-12 : First time Noah goes to the beach

It is mid October, the weather is just around 65 to 83 these days, perfect for outside playing, so we have decided going to New Smyrna beach this weekend. We are lucky the weather today is perfect for Noah. Garrett loves playing with sand and water with his dad. He is not afraid of water much like before, even he likes his dad hold him when he is in water.

Garrett's Rosco

Garrett loves playing with cars. My mother in law said my husband was the same when he was a kid. And she saved all his cars for her grandson. So she pass about 100 small cars to me. It has all kinds of small cars.

He loves Rosco car since he has watched "The dudes of hazzard" movie. He holds it every where he goes, to daycare, to eat, to sleep, .. Every where. This morning I told my husband Garrett lost his rosco car. My husband said "Oh no, we cant lose his rosco car, that is his favorite car". He got right up and went every where in the house to look for his car. At that time Garrett was still sleeping and had not waken up. Luckily my husband found it under the train and he put next to Garrett. He wanted to give Garrett a surprise as he wakes up :)

Baby noah 's first tooth

It is exited that my baby has his first tooth. It is not one but two teeth at once at his five and a half month old. Yeah. I remembered my older son had his first tooth at four month and roll over at three month.

My Garrett is funny

It is so funny the way he talks at this age.

1.       My husband told him his belt is a “snake”, they play with it like it is a snake.  When I am in bathroom to brush my teeth, they like to push snake under the door and says “Mommy, snake is going to bite you”. So my son named it a snake. One day my husband hurried to work and forgot his belt. My son run after him and said “ Daddy, you forgot your snake” J

2.       Every time he does not want dinner, I will say “Garrett: if you don’t eat my food, I am going to get nasty” J and he knows it because I put him in his room or timeout few times when he did not eat. So every day after I prepared dinner, I will say out loud to living room “Food ready”, my son knows will try to get my husband “Daddy, go have food. Food ready” J . And if he slows in getting up from his couch, my son will say “Daddy, if you don’t eat mommy food, mommy is going to get nasty.” J

3. Every Saturday when my husband works, we usually go to our back yard and stay out for at least one hour. I will give Garrett a yogurt and an avocado smoothie for myself. We eat in our patio set. One time I saw a bug flying around the table. I said “Garrett, eat fast, if not the bug will eat your yogurt.” And he said “Mommy, the bug can’t eat my yogurt, because he does not have a spoon.” J . That is funny.

4. For those nights when my husband is not home, we have dinner and baby Noah cried sometimes. Garrett told me " I think he missed daddy mom". I said "Yea". Then he told Noah. "Daddy has to go to work to make money". :) Just the same as I told him every time. Funny.

 5. Garrett has just asked me again. "Mom, can I go pee?". it makes me feel funny because every time he needs to go "wie wie" or go "poop" he would ask like that instead of just go. Poor guy, because that is what he has learned at daycare.

6. Garrett loves watching cartoon. I know it is bad since we let him watch so much cartoon. He knows every cartoon from Dora, Diego, Mike, ... Every time he needs to go to the kitchen or the bathroom, he will turn it off and then turn it back on when he comes back. One day, he turned it off to go to have breakfast in the kitchen. He dad asked "Garrett, can I turn on cartoon for baby?". Garrett said "No, cartoon is mine. Turn on commercial for baby" :) it is funny. Because he does not like commercial.

First time Garrett meets his cousin Wyatt

This is the first time Garrett meets his cousin Wyatt when Garrett was three and Wyatt was eight years old. They came to visit for one week right on Wyatt's birthday. We celebrated Wyatt's birthday at nana's house. They played together so well for the first day. Wyatt chased Garrett run around the house, the laugh and had lot of fun. But three days later we meet Wyatt again at his birthday party. they are like stranger. and dont play much. It is just Garrett. He is so shy sometimes.

Halloween 2012 at pumpkin patch

This is the first Halloween for Noah and third for Garrett. They went with nana to pumpkin patch. Nana lets Garrett pick his own pumpkins, so he picked one for him, one for Noah, and one bigger one. When he first came home only mom is home. He said " this one is your mom", but when Daddy is home, he said that pumpkin is Daddy. I asked "so which one is mine?", he said " Daddy you share with Mommy this pumpkin, ok? Daddy?" :)
